Blind Taste Test
A survey showed Americans unlabeled pie charts representing the distribution of wealth in three different places, and asked them which place they’d like to live in.
93% of Democrats and 90.5% of Republicans (see, we’re not so far apart) picked this nearly equal one:
That’s Sweden. Where the wealthiest 20% of people hold 36% of wealth, but the bottom 40% still have a nice 26% of their countries’ wealth.
Unfortunately, this one is the USA:
Where the top 20% have 84%. And where the bottom 40% have only 0.3%
