  1. hi joel,
just read the article in the gazette. my sister and i played at prompt succor for years (wanda curole, donna lefort) but never met you. you still come down the bayou from time to time? we’re all piano players. maybe you know my brother john lefort or carl dufrene or gregory smith? all musicians. hopefully we:ll catch your gig next time we:re at pat o:s. rock on!

    1. Hi Donna,

I played organ for what was the 11:00 am Sunday “Youth Mass” at Prompt Succor in the Eighties, like ’82-’88.

Did Wanda teach and have a music store in the Eighties? I bought sheet music there, and my good friend Tommy Guidry (who’s now an organist in Abbeville) took lessons from her.

Of the other people you mentioned, I only know one. Carl Dufrene – his sister Carla and my sister Roxane were good friends, and I remember us playing together as kids. Also, he was one year ahead of me in school, and we were in the South Lafourche Band together at one point. I’m glad to see he’s still playing music!
